Jaywingers smash 2015 fundraising target

2015 proved an incredible year for our contact centre fundraisers, who’ve smashed their target to raise £4,726.70 for the Special Care Baby Unit at the Great Western Hospitals, Swindon.

The dedicated social and fundraising committee have worked hard to coordinate a variety of events over the past 12 months, getting everyone involved in activities from Rugby World Cup inspired bake-offs, Comic Relief fancy dress fun and the annual Family Fun Day.

Looking to the year ahead, Jaywingers haven’t shied from setting themselves another ambitious target, with the aim of raising £5,000 during 2016. With this in mind, the Contact Centre teams have been voting for their next nominated charity. Of six incredibly worthy causes, only one could become the new Jaywing Swindon charity of the year, and with 46% of the vote, the Radiotherapy Appeal won the vote.

The Radiotherapy Appeal is one of the many charity projects that Great Western Hospitals charity, Brighter Futures, manages. Much like the Special Care Baby Unit, it is a cause close to the hearts of many individuals who work at the contact centre.

Our team are determined to work even harder this year to reach their target. The local Swindon community is incredibly important to them, and we’re proud that they proud to support it. A special thank you goes to the social committee in Swindon who never fail to come up with inventive and fun ways to raise money for these worthy charities. Here’s to 2016 being a bigger and better fundraising year for Jaywing!
